This workshop begins one hour before dawn on Saturday Oct. 20 and ends after sunset on October 21.

Join Joe for the exclusive weekend workshop focused on capturing the charm and beauty of Maryland's Chesapeake Bay.  We will also have extensive digital darkroom sessions and image critiques in the middle of the day and after diner on Saturday evening. While in the field we will discuss creative compositions, use of lenses and camera position for perspective and angle, seeing in a new way, use of light and mastering of filters and special capture techniques for expanding your creative potential. Joe will also discuss how to read your cameras histogram, exposing for the best results in the digital darkroom and special capture techniques and per-visualization for work in software.

A few of the areas we will visit on the workshop include The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and fishing boats and docks of Tilghman Island. At night we will spend several hours discussing digital darkroom post processing workflow and image critiques. On Saturday or Sunday afternoon, we will have a three hour classroom focusing on developing images from capture to print.

Joe is also a staff course instructor for Nature Photographers Magazine, and writes a regular blog column forOutdoor Photographer Magazine online edition. Joe is also a co-author and contributing photographer two print books, The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography (Mountain Trail Press) and50 Amazing Things You Must See and Do in the Greater D.C. Area, The Ultimate Adventure Guide.  Joe continues to travel extensively producing new and exciting images of the natural world as well as leading several photography workshops and photo tours each year.
